New guidelines from TRAI regarding Bulk SMS for DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology).

Do you know what DLT is? And why did it become mandatory?

A DLT system is a block chain-based registration system that helps in keeping track of all the records of all Bulk SMS systems whether it can be Promotional SMS & Transitional Text Messages which are sent by the senders to their preferred data. It is a place where all the telemarketers and entities / enterprises are integrated together. All customers and retailers would first register with the operators, who have been attained by telemarketers on the representative of either the operators.

These charges have been brought by TRAI to prevent companies from unsolicited commercial communication, which was extremely frustrating for users through frauds calls and Texts. So, according to TRAI’s new updated regulation, DLT registration is mandatory to continue further by all telecom service providers.

1.A previous version of the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018 was released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on July 19, 2018. .

2.Thus, in line with TRAI's purpose of improving a more streamlined and transparent system, Hence Digital Telematics has taken a variety of operations to provide the new regulatory compliant solutions.

3.We want to inform you about the different phases for implementing the previously stated Regulation, which mandated the use of Block chain technology, which this not only widely recognized as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT Platform), to understand and implement the DLT Registration Process.

4.Operators have already implemented the DLT system where the user has to get approved for their sender Id through their preferred operator. That the very first component of the regulation primarily focused on having to register all Entities and Enterprises upon that new platform. As a direct consequence, Digital Telematics has already been enrolled as a Telemarketer on the operator's DLT platform, and we need you to be fully involved in this and register as a Fundamental Entity (Enterprise) to comply with the new TRAI regulation.

6.The end client can also place preferences and requirements as well as register complaints, and that can be unsubscribed anytime according to the TRAI official rules.

8.To transmit information, every service provider who will provide services to its customers should always be allowed to enroll on the DLT platform.

11.For Enterprise registration, firstly users have to make a request on Videocon DLT to start registration. The registration fees are very minimal i.e. ₹ 3540/-. Once the payment process is completed then the second step will be getting the user id in this way the user can get a unique Entity Id from Videocon (This might take around 72 working hours to complete the approval process) which should be depending on Videocon operator.

12.Note: While registering, be confident to use the Hence Digital Telematics Telemarketer ID that has been available on DLT. HENCE DIGITAL TELEMATICS PRIVATE LIMITED has been the firm's name.

DLT registration process for entity and telemarketer

The Registration document process of each and every organization may not vary. Because these are defined by TRAI.

Followings documents and details are required before proceeding to complete the processes from Telemarketer and Enterprise for registration as mentioned below:

1.With a PDF version of the organization's PAN number.

2.GST Certificate having GST Unique Identifier.

3.Certificate of Organizational Existence.

4.Address for the defined Business.

5.Confirmation of Corporate Brand (PAN Card) must be defined in the documents that are provided.

6.GST identification / corporation registration must be stored in digital indicating as proof of business entity.

Procedure For DLT Registration

The TRAI has enforced that almost all telemarketers register in order to provide support to consumers and undertakings on the DLT platform. The Registration fees might vary on the bases of the service providers anywhere in India.

Telemarketer Registration Process

1.Choose a Telemarketer. It may resemble the DLT registration processes for Videocon, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, Tata Tele Services, MTNL, BSNL, and Jio.

2.When questioned by Visitors. "Have you enlisted for any other telecoms company operator on the DLT network?" select "No."

3.Type the PAN number for your company.

4.The user must insert the business PAN number.

5.Attend the OTP confirmation.

6.Your email Id must be validated.

7.Register on the portal website's login page.

8.Validate your email Id

9.On the portal website's login page.

10.Complete the necessary details and publish any necessary documents if required.

11.If the user completes the above steps then only the user can get the registration number.

12.Just someone Telemarketer registration ID will be provided to you after the user completes the verification process, which takes almost 72 hours.

Process of Enterprise Registration

1.Pick the Enterprise option.

2.Select "No" once prompted, "Are you enrolled with some other mobile operator on the DLT network?"

3.Also included is the PAN number for your organization.

4.Complete the form with the relevant information.

5.Wait for confirmation of the OTP.

6.Verify your email address.

7.Register on the portal website.

8.Attach the required documents files

9.If the user completes the above steps then only the user can get the registration number.

10.When the user completes the verification process then only your Enterprise registration ID will be given to you within 72 hours.
