TRAI's New Rule: Whitelist URLs & Numbers to Avoid Message Failures

TRAI has introduced a new rule requiring CTA Whitelisting for any message templates that include URLs, phone numbers, or APK links. This means if these elements are part of your template, they need to be registered on the DLT platform under the Click to Action (CTA) section. If not, the messages might fail to deliver, showing error codes like 642 for Videocon and other vendors, or 701 for Airtel. To avoid this, check if any of your clients’ messages have failed due to these errors, and help them whitelist their URLs, phone numbers, or links on DLT.
